Ebay item 6/20/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Jaguar-XKE-Survivor-62k-original-miles-Solid-CAR-/3 ...
Current bid $1,025 reserve not met, 4 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This is an extremely hard to find survivor car that has been in storage for the last 20 years! The car has been very well taken care of and in really good shape for a project! The car is the kind of car you want to find for a good base for an XKE. The car I believe is originally yellow with black guts. The car does need to be restored. I bought the car from a fellow that said he was the second owner. And he told me that the car has 62k actual miles! I do have what appears to be the original title and does show the miles of 62804! The car is a very solid car! Solid frame rails, solid rear quarters, solid floor pans, and solid rockers! The car has good glass all the way around. The motor does fire with a little starting fluid, and does have good compression. And can be a great running motor with a little tinkering on the carbs. The carbs look to be in great shape and I dont see them being gummed up. however the gas lines have been disconected when put in storage. I believe the gas tank does not have any rust but not totally sure because I never hooked the gas lines up. The car has good rubber all the way around with matching spare in the trunk, It also comes with two sets of real jaguar spinners so 8 total. The car has pretty nice interior for the age. No cracks in the dash. All the gauges seem to work well. Pretty amazing condition for the interior actually condsidering its age. The body seems really solid, did have a little body work done here and there and looks pretty good and pretty much done. The back hatch latch gives me trouble and needs some adjusting. All in all this is a great old Jag that is worth restoring and truely needs someone to give it the love she needs to get her looking perfect again!

De Auto is volledig onder handen genomen. Volledige revisie. Casco van voor naar achter. Veel Amerikaans plamuurwerk verwijderd. Plaatwerk hersteld. Weber carburateurs.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
