Sellers comment:
This is an original California, 2 owner car, with 55,000 miles recorded on the speedometer. The "E" type is fitted with the 4.2 liter twin cam inline 6 cylinder and a 4 speed fully syncromesh manual transmission. The car also features 4 wheel power disc brakes, and independent rear suspension.

If you look at the photos closely you can see that this car is a survivor. There is no evidence of rust or rust repair with the exception of a small patch in the center of the drives foot well. The spare tire well and the inside of the bonnet are all clean and show no evidence of accident damage. The bottoms of all 3 doors are clean and rust free.

Vehicle Condition
The car was repainted in the original color approximately 5+ years ago and the paint is in excellent condition. The body and panel fit is extremely nice. The cylinder head was reconditioned in the recent past and the engine runs and performs well. The transmission and clutch are also sound. There are some items that will be needed to complete the car, and they include:

# tires
# right and left door panels, complete
# rear boot boards
# left side "A" pillar garnish
# exhaust system
# radio antenna mast

I recently bought this car from the USA. The car looks as described by seller. I have only fired the engine and made a short run. I am planning to make the car a nice driver but not even close to concours. My other classics are one 1955 Austin Healey 100/4 and a 1958 Frogeye.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
