Ebay item 6/13/05
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid £11,995.00 (Reserve not met), no bids yet, 8 days left in auction. Car is also listed at:
www.justinbanks.com/6-Main.html

Sellers description:
We are happy to be able to offer this Left Hand Drive E-Type for sale. It is a 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 Fixed Head Coupe. The car has the manual gearbox and is finished in the extremely rare colour combination of Black with Black Interior. Our car is Taxed and Mot'd, ready to go and has been subject to much restoration work over the last 5 years. It was shipped to New York in 1969 and was re-registered in the UK in 2000. The car was restored in 2000 and finished 11th in that years Historic Monte Carlo Rally. The car is a US model but has been fitted with triple SU Carbs for improved performance. A superb driving car and extremely well presented.

Interior:
This car has been retrimmed in the last few years and the interior is extremely nice. The seats and door trims are all superb with no rips or tears and the carpet set is also quite recent. All in all, I would say the interior is in a wonderful used condition with nothing that needs addressing.

Exterior:
Our car has been resprayed Black in the last few years and whilst the quality of the paint is very good it is not the quality of a fresh respray, There are certain patches that look a little dull and the car would benefit from a thorough T-Cut or polish. The wire wheels are nearly new and the panel fit of the body is excellent. There is nothing you need to do but a little TLC would have the car looking second to none.

Mechanical:
In the last few years the car has befitted from a Stainless Steel Exhaust, a Full Engine Rebuild, new Alternator, Voltage Regulator, Steering Rack, Shock Absorbers, Clutch, Heater Motor, etc. As you would expect the car drives superbly. It starts first time and pulls strongly in every gear. There is nothing that needs addressing and the car is ready for use.

Summary:
This is a very rare Left Hand Drive car, perfect for continental cruising, finished in the best colour scheme and maintained to a very high standard. The Series 2 cars are much easier to own and there is nothing you need to do to this, simply drive her away. There is a new Mot and Tax until November. Ideal for your house on the continent or simply as a great car for the summer. A very honest, realistically priced, well maintained E-Type.

I have over 50 pictures available to people who are interested, please contact me for details or google search for justin banks for my main business website where these pictures are located. Please remember you are bidding to BUY this car, not to negotiate later, I strongly recommend you come and have look as she is open to any inspection.

A deposit of £1,000 is to be paid within 24 hrs of the end of the auction with the balance payable within 3 days, although with good communication I can be flexible!

Our car was first registered in the UK on 17th November 2000
The Registration Number is EHJ306H
The Chassis Number is 1R27123
The Engine Number is 7R70029

There is an MOT until June 2006
There is a Tax Disc until November 2005

There has only been one previous owner on the V5

I have many invoices with the car but nothing prior to 2000 and nothing from the cars life in the USA.
