This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a non-running Series II coupe that was purchased by the seller’s mother-in-law approximately 30 years ago in Texas. It was last driven in 1984 and inherited by the seller’s wife six years ago. The car is equipped with a 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six fitted with twin Stromberg carburetors and paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. Additional equipment includes a Moto-Lita steering wheel, a Pioneer AM/FM/cassette stereo, and 15″ wire wheels. This Series II XKE project is now offered at no reserve on behalf of the current owner with spare parts and a clean Utah title.
The car wears a faded and deteriorated white finish, with evidence of previous paintwork visible. Exterior equipment includes a driver-side chrome mirror and chrome front and rear bumpers with overriders. Exposed metal, dents, and rust on the body are shown in the gallery below. The rear license plate wears a 1984 registration sticker, and part of the Jaguar script is missing from the rear badging.
15” wire wheels secured with knock-off hubs wear Michelin red-line tires. Cracks are visible on the sidewalls, and the right-rear tire is split and does not hold air.
Worn and ripped red leather upholstery is present on the seats, red carpets line some of the floors, and the headliner is stained. The black dashboard is cracked, and the door panels have been removed. A Pioneer AM/FM cassette stereo is fitted along with an analog clock. Corrosion is present throughout the cabin.
The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer as well as centrally mounted auxiliary gauges indicating battery voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 3k miles and is believed to have rolled over. True mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six features twin Stromberg carburetors. The engine does not run.
The engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is visible on the underbody. Removed interior trim is included in the sale
