Ebay item 11/12/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $11,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction. 60k miles

Sellers description:
beautiful rust free classic Jaguar sports car. This vehicle runs and drives very well and has been well maintained. This is an excellent daily driver as well as an easy restoration for the future. I am only selling the car because I'm selling everything to sail to the Caribbean. So, my loss is your gain.

Vehicle Condition
Vehicle looks and drives very well. Owners manual and vehicle history are included. The engine runs well. Starts right up every time. There are many new parts which make this a very dependable driver. New high speed starter, recent clutch, new exhaust, new alternator, clutch and brake master and slave cylinders, exhaust manifolds, hoses, are just a few. The buyer will benefit from a major 1997 upgrade which includes a brand new, factory old stock bonnet, front chrome and complete professional paint job. The upgrade cost the poor guy who backed into it $9,000! Car, engine and transmission are all matching original. The car has always been garage kept and is rust free.

This Jaguar presently needs new rubber seals around the front and rear windows as well as a new speedometer cable. The rear hatch needs to be re-aligned to open and close better. It was blown shut once by the wind.

The interior is decent but would be the place to begin any restoration. The seats are good, dash is good and the floor panels are good. The armrest on the center console has a tear in it. This was the only interior upgrade I ever made and it is the only tear in the car. I will not recomment that upholsterer.

Overall, this is a fine looking and ruuning example of the most sensational British sports car ever produced.

Hi Paul.
I have an E-type also. My numbers are 1R26179 and my car was delivered to Southern California but I bought it in 2000 in Modesto California. I was wondering if you still had the car? I am restoring mine to pristine condition but need a little help trying to figure out the pedal linkage to the carbs.
Could you call me please or E-mail me...

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
