Chassis 1RZ0282 assume should be 1R 20282 entered at Coys the jaguar legend Auction, Blenheim Palace on 18th June 2005 estimate £13000-£16000 No Sale Reg # SKJ 506G
Description:
This 1969-manufactured E Type SII 4.2 coupe was acquired by the vendor in 1998. Amongst work carried out, the floor pans and sills have been welded and renewed as necessary and the two-door bodywork repainted in dark blue, the original colour, with a top-tint export windscreen. There is a grey interior and the rear lights have been changed. The suspension is said to have been stiffened and lowered with Spax adjustable shock absorbers fitted all round. The documents file includes several years of receipts detailing some of the work carried out as well as a V5 and the latest MoT certificate which does not run out until May of next year.

We bought the car from previous owner in 2009. Previous owner had car since 1998 and has had full restoration except interior in 1998/99. Sice that regularly maintained to keep in good condition. 2009 seat and centre console re-trimmed with leather (by Hutsons) and all interior resprayed. Some work still to do, but now in nice condition.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
