Advertised for sale on carsales.com.au 13 January 2026 asking AUD$249,950. Car is in Brisbane.

Selling dealer’s description (summarised) follows: The Heritage Certificate on file shows this matching-numbers car was delivered new in the UK through Jaguar dealer Ernest W Hatfield in Sheffield. The car was manufactured on 29th April 1970 and despatched on 22nd June 1970. The first owner was FA Tomlinson and the first registration was GWJ 64J. Car comes with a hard top as well as its blue soft top.
The early history of the car is not known, though it is understood that at some stage it was owned by an Australian working in the UK. The car found its way to Australia some time prior to 1989 and it ended up in a shed on a cane farm in Murwillumbah, NSW. The owner passed away and although the family had every intention of restoring the car, that never happened.
The current owner purchased the car in 2015 at which time the odometer read 90,588 miles. It has now done 91,635 miles. The car was in reasonable condition, consistent with having been parked up for so many years. It therefore need major recommissioning, which evolved into a restoration. Work ultimately performed included: rebuilding engine, fitting 5 speed gearbox, fitting power steering, upgrading brake system, fitting air conditioning, fitting new soft top, refurbishing interior (John Skinner, UK upholstery used), re-cored radiator, reconditioned diff’, etc.
Reluctant sale due to health issues. Car comes with a comprehensive file of photos and receipts.
