This car is presented in metallic blue livery, similar to the all-conquering Écurie Écosse Team racing cars which so dominated the circuits in the 1950s and from which the E-Type was indeed race-bred. It is equipped with chrome wire wheels and the cockpit is furnished with black carpets and blue leather upholstery – almost certainly the original and in good order. The car is to manual gearbox specification. It comes with a copy of the old V5 registration document and a current V5C document. At the time of cataloguing the car started and drove well and while on exhibition was last MoT’d up till January 2009 and has covered minimal mileage since last tested.
