    Car returns to ebay 12/13/12
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Jaguar-Series-II-E-Type-OTS-/181044100892
Opening bid $22,000 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Rockfall, Connecticut. 46k miles.

    Sellers description:
Very solid, driver quality Series II E Type Jaguar with triple Solex carbs, A/C and chrome wires. Off the road since 1993, I have just completed a major servicing. All fluids have been changed - differential fluid, transmission fluid, engine oil and filter, and coolant. New thermostat. Fuel tank has been drained and system flushed. Complete brake overhaul - all four calipers rebuilt with new pistons, new pads, new hoses, rebuilt master cylinder, slave cylinder, vacuum booster and new reaction valve. Flushed and bled system. Rebuilt clutch master and slave cylinders. New clutch hose. New coolant, heater, fuel and vacuum hoses. New fuel filters. New belts. New spark plugs and points. Good compression, all cylinders between 152 - 162 lbs./in. Runs strong, but probably could use a final dialing in of the carbs, (I'm not a Solex person).. All lights, switches and gauges work as designed, never tried A/C, so assume it will need conversion and charging. Minor imperfections, but overall the interior and top are in very nice condition. The body is straight and the paint is very nice. Numerous trophies from local shows in the 90's are included. This is a turn key automobile. It needs nothing, but a new owner, to be driven and enjoyed. Car comes with a clear title and bill of sale. Email with any questions, inspections are welcome.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
