Ebay item 11/25/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Jaguar-E-Type-SII-Roadster-OTS-E-TYPE-SII-ROADSTER-OPEN-TW ...
Current bid: $20,100 reserve not met 29 bids 6 days left in auction, seller salesmotorcars, 46k miles.
Seller's description:
1970 Etype SII OTS #1R12691
This is an excellent Matching Numbers Series 2 E-Type Roadster to consider in addition to our many other E-Types offered for Sale Currently.
First of all, the most important part is that this original car only has 46,525 miles on it. This car was shown in Regional Concours D'elegance in the New England Region for Years.
This particular car originally belonged to a friend of ours who passed away some years ago and then it was sold to the last owner who never drove it.
The car was parked in a dry garage covered for over 15 years until it was brought to us to put it back into commission.
During that time while we were going through the car we began to learn and care for the car and eventually we arranged to purchase it for our own stock. It is a great example and we wanted to own it.
We entered the car and drove it in many Cause related Functions and rallies and enjoyed the car, we used that opportunity to sort the car out totally, and now it is offered for sale.
This car has one older respray of its Factory color of Regency Red Paint and it has held up very well as you can see from just a quick glance at the pictures at the pictures.
As you can definitely tell from the pictures just what a really nice car this was when it was parked and is now that it is refurbished.
Within the last year, our shop at Motorcars Incorporated checked all the numbers, transmission , body head and block and matched them to the heritage certificate and the car is 100% matching and original.
We installed new Vredestein tires, with new tubes.. we installed all new hoses, all new clamps , replaced all the fluids in the car and we rebuilt and tuned the Zenith Stromberg carburetors and our shop set up the motor timing and ran the car to check all functions. It is a very original, very nice running Honest car. No apparent rust.. floors look totally original and the boot is all rust free as well.
The top is brand new.. and the interior is in great shape so we only had to clean the seats and the rugs. Once we got the car to run and drive dependably we stopped. this way the sales price of the car will remain lower and whomever purchases the car if they want it to be more than a very nice driver they can do it however or whenever they want. Because this car can be brought up to a concour standard because it is a good candidate it is a desirable color, and matching numbers.
