Lot # 224 1970 Jaguar XKE SII
Roadster; S/N 1R11824; Bronze/Tan leather; Estimate $40,000 - $60,000; Older restoration, 2 condition; hammered at $48,000 plus commission of 10.00%; Final Price $52,800 -- Tool kit, Owners manual, AM-FM radio, 4-speed, clock. 1996 restoration with nine
class firsts and two Best in Show awards. Displayed at the LA Auto Show in 2001. Very detailed maintenance record. New
undercoat. Chip on driver's door edge otherwise very nice paint and interior. Still in nearly showroom condition. The
strength of this XKE's restoration lies not only in its show wins but also in its longevity. The Monterey bidders picked
up on this and gave it a full price.
