Ebay item 6/27/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Jaguar-XKE-E-Type-/250845432999
Opening bid $35,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE Series II Roadster - Original Car 40,176 Low Miles - Low Reserve !
Starts right away, runs and drives beautifully, and straight. Lots of power from the smooth running straight-six motor...she just purrs ! Regency red exterior. Black leather interior with new floor mats..
This is a sleek, sexy 50 year old Jaguar E-Type. Have owned her for over 11 years. Driven very sparingly over that time and is stored in a heated/cooled garage and covered. This is a numbers matching car, and has been meticulously maintained by only professional specialized mechanics. The manual transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes are excellent. This is a very original car except for mechanical replacement parts as time and age have necessitated, replaced with ONLY correct (OEM) parts.
The following parts have been replaced in the last 10 years:
* New brake master cylinder, tandem slave cylinder and dual-line servo cylinder
* New correct fuel pump
* Newer battery
Original seats covered with new leather in 2000. Original wood steering wheel. Original gauges. Original gear shift knob. Original wire wheels. Original tool kit and base for jack in the boot. Tires in very good condition with 90% tread remaining. Switches work properly. Windows roll up and down smoothly. Gaps are all excellent . Black soft top was replaced and is in excellent condition. Exterior chrome excellent...shines like new. Glass excellent. Also included are the owners manual and an original repair manual. A copy of the title from the 2nd owner included. They purchased the car in 1972. She is 42 years old and not perfect, but in excellent condition. It greatly saddens me to sell this most wonderful car, but moving onto a gravel road, we have driven this car twice in the last year. She has been a joy to own and an absolute attraction. I hope that the new owner will enjoy her as much as I have over these 10 plus years.
LOW RESERVE !
