58,000 1969 Jaguar Xke Series II convertible, 4 speed manual, 58000 actual miles. Owned by mechanical engineer for last 28 years. Well maintained. Planned to have forever and cared for accordingly. Car is charcoal grey with burgundy interior. Originally silver with red interior. Needs new paint. Paint on front faded. Body his some dings and scratches. All original except for ammeter, light switches, and exhaust system (has glass packs, instead of mufflers). Could use new exhaust system. Have all manuals and maintenance records. Body has had rust spots removed on the rocker panels, rear floorboard, and trunk bottom. Rust area replaced on rocker panels and rear floor board about 20 square inches per side, trunk area – along the seems. All rust was replaced with new metal work. Structurally very solid. Wire wheels have some discoloration. Matching numbers. Good engine compression. Runs strong. New top and upholstery about 15 years ago. Rear window discolored and faded. Car handles extremely well with its independent rear suspension and 50/50 weight distribution. New am/fm/cd player about 5 years ago.

I consider this car to be reliable and a solid driver.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
