For sale at Witmer and Odijk of Warmond for 89,950 euros. Abbreviated seller's description below.
www.witmerodijk.nl/for-sale/jaguar-e-type-series-ii-roadster-1969-1968/911

Model History: The car offered for sale here is an original very well looked after car, mechanically in wonderful condition, it benefits from wise expenditure. She is a wonderful, smooth drive and when desired, sporty. Sensibly priced, checked over by us and ready to run.

Equipment; Complete with wire wheels, tonneau cover and a not too stunning radio, will be replaced on request.

Exterior: Gorgeous colour! Listen to the stately name, Regency Red, it can be said to be like deep red wine. The body is completely rust free. The paintwork has a beautiful deep shine with no significant traces of usage or dents. Truly great panelling with the correct fittings. The chrome work is excellent and in shiny condition. The rubbers are in very good condition all round, no dry rot or tears. The hood has recently been renewed and fits snugly on the car. Evidently the car has always been damage free.

Interior: The interior has ben re-trimmed with new original black leather. Perfectly executed by a professional following the original shape of the seats and headrests. The floor and sill carpeting are original, they show some traces of usage although it is hardly noticeable. Door cards, dashboard and centre console are likewise original and undamaged. The wooden steering wheel is beautiful and undamaged, the same goes for all switches, levers and gauges. A pretty and original look.

Engine, Boot, Wheels and Tyres: The engine compartment is totally original, used but not greasy or dirty, it is remarkable after all these years. Clearly well maintained and equipped with many new parts. The inside of the chassis and bonnet are perfectly clean in Regency Red. In the boot are the original mats and the floor, below are the original spare wheel and tool kit. The jack, knock off hammer and sets of keys are present and complete. The wire wheels are beautifully chromed and the Vredestein Sport Classic Tyres are as new.

History: Sold new in California, it has a solid and dry bodywork that has never had any welding done. As early as 1991 the car came to the Netherlands. Since than perfect care has been taken of it by a Jaguar specialist. There is a history file with invoices detailing the expenditure to keep the car in mechanically pristine condition. This E Type not only looks splendid, it lets you enjoy pure driving with maximum experience. Delivered with a new MoT and service.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
