The vendor states that this LHD 2+2 E Type was originally based in Long Island, New York State, where it was cosseted as a prized possession.
Said to have received a full engine rebuild by Hempstead Auto of Long Island 1995, costing over $12,000 US and to have won the Jaguar Touring Club Concours d'elegance in 1983.
Imported into the UK in 1997, the car is said to have been kept in a professional storage facility for most of the intervening period.
