New Pioneer Premier CD/stereo/radio (with removable face plate) system with superior speakers. The wheels are wire rim and tires in great condition. The automatic transmission is new and was installed at 49767 miles (not necessary, was done in attempts to restore car completely). Proof of purchase on transmission is available. My divorce has caused me to have to sell this beautiful car. My classic car insurance company values the Jag at $20k. An independent appraisal listed the Jag at $18k.

Current bid $2,999 reserve not met , 1 bid, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This a 1968 series 1.5 Jaguar XKE 2+2 in very nice condition. If you've always wanted an E-type but need the extra room for the family or just extra head room this is the car for you.

Runs and drives great and ready for summer fun. 4.2 L DOHC straight 6 engine starts easy and runs very smooth and doesn't leak!!! Odometer shows 51114 miles, not sure this is original but it very well could be. The Automatic transmision was replaced a few years ago with an upgraded rebuilt unit by a profesional shop known for working on Jags. Shifts smooth and easy also without any leaks. Cooling system is in great order with no sign of trouble even on the hottest days.

The body is in excellent condition with only a few very minor dings. No rust at all. It was repainted about 10 years ago. Primrose yellow paint is overall in very nice condition with some minor blemishes and signs of age. Chrome is nice but not perfect, has some lite pitting. All glass is in excellent condition. The Leather seats where re-done just a few years ago and are perfect. All interior panels and carpet are very nice, All gauges work except the Tach seems to read a little high. All electrics except the horn are working great, has a fairly new Interstate battery. Michelin redline tires have plenty of tread left and Wire wheels run true and straight with no wobbles or shakes. Brakes work great but there is the occasional squeeking from the rear. May need pads before too long.

Overall this car has been well maintained over the years and is in very nice (but not perfect) condition, Being a 2+2 automatic makes this a nice car for longer trips and picnics etc.

Car can be viewed by appointment in Granite Falls, WA (not far from Seattle).

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
