Ebay item 5/20/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-JAGUAR-XKE-2-2-RARE-OPALESCENT-GRAY-/300559116727
Opening bid $1,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. 28k miles.
Sellers description:
This Stunning and Rare 1967 Series I JAGUAR XKE 2+2 in rare Opalescent Gray with the contrasting red leather interior. it has the toggle switches but not the covered heeadlights. It also has the rare A/C feature added at the dealer This XKE is one of very few remaining examples in un-molested condition, and is in great condition for its age. The car is all original and and has always been garaged so there is absolutely NO rust anywhere on the car, and that includes none around the wheel wells, floors, doors, fenders between the tail pipes or underneath the car.
The car has only had one recent respray in its original color and it is in very nice condition as well as the original chrome. The original interior has a great aroma of an old jag and is in nice condition with the exception of the drivers seat which has expected wear for a 43 year old car, but the carpets, headliner and rear compartment are in great condition.
The car has been stored and does run and drive but will will still need some going through to make perfect but as it is there are no leaks and the car is very original.
I am the only the 2nd owner of the car and it was purchased from the original owners and it is beautiful and although it is 42yo it is not a show car it would not take much or it can be a beautiful driver. This car is part of my private collection but, I am limited on space and I dont have the time or space to bring the car back to the condition it deserves to be in. It will also come with the original keys, some records as well as the original manuals packet, warranty info and a very nice history.
