Sellers description:
1966 XKE 2+2 Jaguar
4 Speed-Triple SU Carbs. ALL MATCHING NUMBERS. Third owner. Never driven in winter. Very strong running engine. Took for a ride the other day runs real nice. 165#--170# Compression in all cylinders. The series 1 2+2's are hard to find being they were only made in 1966 and halfway through 1967. So if you want covered headlights and triple SU Carbs, this is the car for you.

Past Upgrades:
Valve job---all brakes sleeved in stainless steel and silcone fluid, most of the brake lines are also stainless--bumpers were replated. Very nice engine compartment, lots of powder coating and replating and stainless hardware. Upper and Lower ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearing and seals. Electronic ignition--leather wrapped nardi steering wheel. New windshield--striker plates--front seats recovered--carpeting--still have warranty card from original owner.

Recent upgrades, less than a 1000 miles ago:
New clutch--stainless exhaust system except resonators (4 pipe ansa) new starter motor--water pump--recorded radiator (Hi Eff)--new cool kat high performance radiator fan--new headliner and visors--new front brake pads--over the shoulder seat belts, also installed belts in rear seat with hicok buckles.

Upgrades this winter:
New basecoat paint, new weatherstrip and seals, new dashpad, and new battery.

This car has won a ton of awards over the years. This is an excellent driving car. You will not be disappointed. I do have manuals and parts catalogue.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
