I've gotten the car stripped down to the tub now and am ready to start the restoration. My documentation from the Heritage Certificate shows that this car was originally BRG but I can fine no indication that it was ever any color than white....even in the deepest little cavities. ??

According to the Heritage Trust, this car was originally BRG with Dark Tan interior, however the car is now stripped to the bare tub and I can find no indication that it was ever anything but it's current White color. Even in the deepest recesses of the body, doors and bonnet. Perhaps it had a full restoration previously and was dipped??

I did find some of the original BRG in the cavities for the rear light assembly and on the underside once I got all of the old undercoating off. Not much, but enough to convince me that the original documentation was correct. I also found a few pieces of the original interior. It must have been tucked in the space between the top and where the crash rail attached. It fell out when I was turning the car on the rotisserie.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
