Lot #213126

This 1966 Jaguar XKE is a Series I coupe that was acquired by the seller in 2024. The car was previously stored for approximately 15 years and is now offered as a non-running project. Its 4.2-liter inline-six is seized, and the car was repainted in Opalescent Silver Gray over a light tan leather interior under previous ownership. This XKE project is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and a transferable New York registration in the seller’s name.

The car was delivered from the factory in green and was repainted Opalescent Silver Gray under previous ownership. It is equipped with enclosed headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, and wraparound chrome bumpers. Pitting is visible on the chrome, and there are rust spots in front of each rear tire.

The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with a mixed set of older Pirelli and Uniroyal tires that are in need of replacement. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The seller notes that the rear calipers were seized and that the brake system requires a complete overhaul. Three rear springs were replaced to allow the car to roll.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in light tan leather with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. The seller notes that the interior vinyl and rubber components are deteriorated.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary gauges are provided for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is seized. It is equipped with three SU carburetors.

The cylinder head stamping, 7E11579-9, matches the number listed on the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate.

The car has a four-speed manual transmission.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates.
