ESTIMATE: $65,000 - $85,000
CHASSIS NO: 1E33576

AUCTION RESULTS: Lot was Sold at a price of $66,000

Formerly the Property of Noted Jaguar Collector Mr. Walter Hill

This particular example represents a transitional stage for the Series I as it features the bulletproof 4.2 liter, 265 horsepower engine and the very smooth all synchronized gearbox.
The example offered here is a matching numbers 1966 Fixed Head Coupe with 51,000 actual miles. Formerly of the Walter Hill Collection it is a very straight and solid example that has benefited from some recent restoration work while in the hands of its Jaguar enthusiast current private owner. The E-Type was given a repaint in the original stunning black seen while the interior was replaced with the correct red leather. Mechanically, the Jaguar is extremely sound as the current owner is a passionate driver and the entire brake system was replaced during the extensive service.

Truly an excellent example of one of the most attractive bodies Jaguar ever built, this particular E-Type, complete with its tools, owner’s manual and excellent low ownership provenance is worthy of close inspection.
