I just bought this car, it had a Ford 289 in it for about the last 15 years, but the owner put the six back in to sell.

Michael, your car appears to have an interesting history. The French chassis plate is a nice conversation piece. The headliner bows are not shown in any of the many E-Type books in my library, so those are a mystery. The color combination is a rare one as well. Good to hear that the car has been "unlumped" and the original engine reinstalled.
