Car was offered on Australia ebay in '04, item 2472344608
Note, the VIN (car number) was not with the body. The VIN 1E31523 is a best guess based on 1E31528 with body number 4E22450, five digits later than this body. The VIN therefore needs to be confirmed. Please contact the webmaster if you can affirm the VIN associated with this body. Any info would be most welcome. Note also that the gas pedal is on the left side and a monogram is on the left door so its assumed that this was a LHD car but that is not assured.

Last seen bid AU $1,499.00

Description
Model: E type Date of Manufacture: Jan 1962
Type: Coupe Registration Number: --
Up for auction is a Jaguar E type 1962 model. This is a body shell from the firewall back only,no front end, chromework or electricals. Comes with some glass and sill replacement panels. Rust is evident in the floors, sills and wheel arches, doors are in average condition. This would suit an enthusiast who wants to take on a mamoth project.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
