Ebay item 5/2/20www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Jaguar-E-Type/264717988999
Car has a buy it now price of $67,500 for 29 days, seller vintagev93, 17k miles.
Seller's description:
A solid and straight, numbers matching 1965, Series One, 4.2 liter, Two Place, Fixed Head Coup. The car had a color change to red, 30 plus years ago. The original Opalescent Dark Green, is still visible in the spare tire well, and under the bonnet, on the fire wall and sub frames. No mucked up, undercoating on the subframes, firewall or boot floor. Just solid, original British Steel and original Jaguar factory paint, looking great. Well looked after while in long term, dry storage. Car is 100% complete and original. New parts that come with the car include, new tail light assemblies, new SU fuel pump and misc. other parts. Runs good, good oil pressure, does not overheat, everything works. A new galvanized fuel tank was just installed. Features excellent Michelin Red Line tires, NOT COKER REPRODUCTIONS. First owned by a World renowned photographer, and comes with Heritage Certificate. Paint is 30+ years old. The interior is original, showing wear. Bumpers will need chromed.
Absolutely solid floors, rockers, quarter panels, boot floor, sub frame and chassis legs. The previous owner, purchased from Welsh Enterprises in the early 90's and placed the car in dry storage.
While he enjoyed his E Roadster, he performed the following work on this series one. He removed the rear suspension unit, and cleaned all of the undercoating from the undercarriage. While the suspension was out, he stripped and cleaned the area above and around the rear suspension, then gave it a nice epoxy coating. The inner rear fenders are clean smooth epoxy, and completely rust free. The floors were also cleaned and sprayed with protective primer. He rebuilt the rear suspension and replaced the rear coil overs. He went through the brake system, including the rear calipers.
The previous owner also rebuilt the triple SU HD-8 carburetors and made sure the oil remained fresh. The fuel tank is brand new, as well as all fuel lines. There is a brand new, SU Fuel Pump, that comes with the car, in case you need a spare. Other misc. parts include, a brand new pair of taillight assemblies.
The Care is complete, including the original air cleaner assembly. The car is the perfect candidate for a concourse restoration. It is very straight, rust free and original. It is mechanically sound, with good oil pressure, and does not smoke or burn oil. Amazingly, it has no oil leaks, either.
Even with what's going on now, the series one E-Type two place coupe, has gone up in value, over the last two months. It's very hard to find a solid original example these days. Comes with Jaguar Heritage Certificate.
