Car was at auction in '07
    www.shannons.com.au/pages/auctions/lot.jsp

    Auction description:
The 4.2-litre, in Series 1 guise, is widely regarded as the most desirable E-Type variant and an original right-hand drive, Australian-delivery car even more so. This example was originally sold through Brysons in Sydney and then spent 27 years with the second owner in Queensland, before returning to New South Wales with the current owner. The Jaguar has enjoyed regular maintenance and recent work has seen the carburettors tuned, a new exhaust fitted and the brakes overhauled. The vehicle is to be sold with current New South Wales registration (the plates 'CC-000'are not included). Sold $70,000 AUD

Car still in Australia and in fabulous condition; having won the NSW state Concour D'Elegance competition in 2012 (gold), it has gone on to win both the 2014 (Melbourne, Victoria, gold) and 2015 (Launceston, Tasmania, gold) Jaguar National Rally Concour D'Elegance competitions, against some very strong local competition in both years.. Continuous improvements have now turned this car into a 98+ scoring car each time it is shown..

Has now also won the 2016 NSW Concour D'Elegance competition (gold), defeating the winner of this state competition of the last two years. The car is now being prepared for the 2017 Jaguar National Rally D'Elegance competition in Port Stephens (NSW) to be held in March 2017..

Pleased to advise that this car has just won the 2017 Jaguar National Rally D'Elegance competition. This is the third National Rally D'Elegance win in a row as there was no Concour competition in the 2016 National Rally held in Queensland; this has not been done before.. Needless to say the car is magnificent..

We believe the car is now in Tasmania with a new owner.. Perhaps one day we might see it again..

This car has now apparently been sold again to a new owner back here in Sydney; the car did not seem to have been appreciated by the previous owner in Tasmania. It looked quite un-cared for when I briefly saw it in late 2020..

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
