This 1965 S1 FHC is owned by Richard Eaton, and is located in the Chesterfield region of Derbyshire. A home restoration was completed in 2012 and the car is in an excellent condition.

Hi Richard, great colour combination and if you did much of the restoration at home, then all credit to you, she looks lovely! Some great scenic shots too but you are on the edge of a lovely area up there.

My own car is only 28 off your own chassis no. (20910) Had her for 6 years now but she is still in good fettle!

    Description:

Featured on the front cover of the E-Type Club magazine for the February 2015 issue, in recent years #1E20882 has also come first prize in multiple concourse events including the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club 2015 and was even invited to the Windsor concourse where it came a formidable second in 2016. Finished in the very rare, yet stunning colour combination of Opalescent maroon with beige leather interior, this is E-Type is a true head-turner, - truly worthy of its recognition at concourse events.

Over the years, this genuine RHD matching numbers three owner E-Type has received the very sensible and ever more common uprated power steering, making the car even more usable and enjoyable to drive.

#1E 20882 was manufactured on the 10th of August 1965 leaving browns Lane 13 days later to Sheffield Garner Ltd of Diss, Norfolk. In 1977 the car was put into storage and changed hands in 1987 only to be put back in storage once again until 2009.

Purchased in 2009 as a labour of love by its current owner, this spectacular example has undergone a 3 year nut and bolt, bare metal restoration by its fastidious owner that finished in 2012. Ever since the car been regularly used and attended many events including Goodwood 2012, 2013 and club runs to the Peak District.

Often called the most beautiful production car of all time, the E-Type remains an automotive icon of design, engineering and speed, and the example offered here today is an excellent illustration of how magnificent these cars looked when new.
