Off the road from May 1984 until March 2016. Tidy usable car. Too much fun to take it off the road for restoration.

In the flesh this car is a very impressive time warp.

Lovely car, would like to see more photos.
The serial number, the 4.2 and date built would indicate a 1965 model. Yet it is reg. as a 64 ? curious from down under.

It would have been first registered in Australia in 1965 (a 1983 registration label on the rear side glass indicates that it was registered JET042, which would not have been available as a 'new' plate back then, so would have been sourced early on) but it was built on Dec 1 1964. It's one of the first 116 cars, which were 3.8 shells and interiors, except for the seats. It still has the original moquette on the rear wheel arches.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
