Opening bid $5,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
This car is registered as a 1968, it was made in june/july 1967 and is a Series I car. Current owner has had it for many years. It has had an older restoration which was done well but not original in some areas. There was a new hood put on which is perfectly corrosion free. The interior is servicable as is, it will require a restoration to bring it back to original specs. The car drives wonderfully, the exhaust noise is "just lovely". The rear suspension and braking were completely rebuilt in the last couple of months. You just get in this car and drive/enjoy!!!

Current bid $30,200, no reserve, 6 bids 6 days left in auction. 102K miles. Car now said to be located in Grimsby, Ontario.

    Sellers description:
    Jaguar E-Type Series I 4.2 Litre Open two-seater
Manufactured on 20th April 1967 (one of the last of the series I cars)
Closed headlights, 4.2L, 4-speed, chrome wire wheels
Nice original car. Matching numbers! Original engine and gearbox!
    Just out of long-term ownership.
No significant rust. No bubbling or rust issues. Unfortunately the one previous repaint completed about 20 years ago is not up to modern professional standards. Its nice and shiny, but if I was going to make this the center-piece of my collection, I would want to have it repainted. Otherwise, drive it and enjoy it as it is and restore it later!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
