    Sellers description:
    Chassis No: 1E. 1471 Engine No: 7E. 8026/9

Our Jaguar 'E' Type was first registered on the 3rd of March 1966 to the supplying Jaguar Authorized Dealer, Kays of Derby. On the 18th of March 1966, they transferred ownership to Mr. Osmund Stuart Scott & he kept the motorcar for over 19 years & covered a grand total of 93,256 miles!

Mr. Scott sold the Jaguar to his then neighbour, Michael Otton, an Official Land Rover Dealer in Shaftesbury on the 22nd of April 1985 & Mr. Otton kept the car for a further 21 years, covering an additional 17,000 miles!

During his tenure, Mr. Otton scrupulously maintained the Jaguar to Jaguar factory standards, logging all work completed in the correct Jaguar Periodic Maintenance Voucher Booklets.

Keith Slade became the 'E' Type's Third private owner in 2006/7 & continued to love & cherish the motorcar. He carried out improvements & upgrades that enhanced the cars already superlative qualities, they included:

    • Five Speed Broad Sport Gearbox (100 MPH @ 3000 RPM)
    • Lightened & Balanced Engine
    • 6 Adjustable Koni Shock Absorbers
    • Rob Beere Adjustable Anti-roll Bar
    • Electric Cooling Fan with Full Flow High Capacity Radiator
    • Fully Electronic Ignition
    • Lucas H4 Halogen Headlamps
    • High Ratio Steering Rack
    • Six Branch Stainless Steel Exhaust System
    • 6 ½ " Stainless Steel Centre-lace Wire Wheels

Mr. Slade sold the motorcar on the 26th of June 2011 since when the 'E' Type has covered less than 2,000 miles.
In April 2013, marque specialists carried out a comprehensive road test, inspection & report & carried out all necessary works, the cost of which was £9,038.33.

A comprehensive service file is naturally included in the sale & it includes:
    • Original "Green" Registration Document
    • Two Original Jaguar Periodic Maintenance Voucher Booklets
    • Supplying Dealer Original Sales Folder
    • Original Jaguar Operating, Maintenance & Service Handbook
    • Original Jaguar Oil & Lubrication Charts
    • Sundry Other Original Jaguar Documents

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
