Manufactured on the 23rd of November 1966, this Series 1 4.2 litre E-Type roadster dispatched to Jaguar Cars, New York, USA on the 9th of December 1966 and found its first owner in Otega, New York shortly after.

In early 2006 an Australian Jaguar enthusiast found the car whilst in Nevada, USA and subsequently purchased and imported the car to Australia in April that year. In 2007 a full nut and bolt recommissioning was initiated. Renowned Marque specialists Glenn Olson of Jag E Type Restorations undertook much of the body work with further works being completed by Chris Waldock. Works included the conversion to right hand drive, new picture frame culminating into a complete rebuild to the superb standard you see today. Mechanically the car has always been cared for Jaguar Specialists. Further, upgrading work was carried out in August 2017 including professional rebuffing of the paint work and respraying of the hard top.

In May 2020, the car underwent a further comprehensive service by Mike Roddy Jaguar which included rebuilding of the carburettors, total flushing of the fuel system and replacement of carburettor jets.

Presented in beautiful opalescent silver blue with blue leather interior, this E-Type comes fitted with triple lace wire wheels, a hard and soft top. In outstanding condition throughout, this iconic roadster presents as well as it drives, and is a real driver’s car ready to be enjoyed both inside and out.

 This vehicle is sold unregistered.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
