Car to be at auction 4/15
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php
Auction description:
Lot 129 - 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Litre Roadster
Estimate: €130,000 - €150,000
Registration Number: EU Taxes Paid
Chassis Number: 1E12903
This example was delivered new to Leona Spiegelman in Los Angeles USA on the 22nd April 1966. Recently it has been the subject of a £28,000 body rebuild by a London Jaguar Specialist. Work has included stripping and renewing all chrome work as necessary, the body has been stripped to bare metal and repainted. The chassis has also been repainted.
The crimson red leather interior has been re-trimmed. Work included new Wilton carpets, new leather seats and interior trim panels along with a high quality German mohair hood. All dash panel instruments have also been overhauled, and the hood bag renewed in a thick durable leather to match the interior trim.
Within the cars file is a complete labour breakdown depicting a further £15,000 of expenditure on the engine by L.T. Classics. The polished SU and engine bay looks to be in stunning condition.
Complete with NOVA documentation and a current UK MoT certificate, and with a host of bills and receipts for all the recent expenditure which total almost £45,000 this E-type is not to be missed.
