Ebay item 9/17/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1966-Jaguar-XKE-roadster-All-original-Texa ...
Current bid $6,100 reserve not met, 6 bids, 6 days left in auction. 58k miles.
Sellers description:
This is a 1966 Jaguar xke roadster and has stayed all it's life in Texas. I aquired the car last year and had plans to restore it, but things got in the way and realized that I didn't have the time to restore anymore. Sadly, I'm listing it up for sale. The car was originally cream color, now black. The car is numbers matching, as I have a sheet from Jaguar that states all the numbers for the car: chassis # 1E11877, block # 7E6485-9, head # 7E6485-9, body # 4E3312. The car is very dry with no rust except for the lower floors. Trunk floor is solid. Other than that, it is very solid. Car has original interior and top. Car does run and drive, but a few months ago I pulled it up my ramp and the clutch went out on me, so now I can't get it into gear. The engine surprisingly doesn't smoke! One carb leaks, (maybe float is bad?). Also brakes are out. Original radio still works! The car is pretty much all complete. I do have some records, tonneau, and has a jack but don't know if it's original. Generally, the car is a very good restoration project or good for someone to cosmetically restore it to running and driving condition. Title is clear.

1966 Jaguar E-Type Series l 4.2-Liter Roadster
LOT: 209
Estimate: $110,000-$130,000 US
Chassis No. 1E11877
• Correctly restored, matching-numbers E-Type Roadster
• Superb quality restoration by Lippincott's Garage
• Upgrades for drivability and reliability
This 1966 Series 1 4.2 E-Type received a complete restoration from Jaguar specialists Lippincott's Garage of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania in 2008-2009. A complete, original and matching-numbers car when acquired by the owner, it was entrusted to Lippincott's with instructions to make it into a show winner. This included complete disassembly, stripping to bare metal and meticulous rebuilding using new parts when necessary. The car was completely rewired, and a new top and upholstery were installed.
During the process, however, it was decided to upgrade the car for drivability and reliability. The suspension was improved and larger wheels and tires were installed. The electrical system was up-rated from the original, including the provision of a modern radio. The workmanship throughout, however, is of the finest quality. Although it has covered few miles since the restoration, we are told it can be driven and enjoyed to the fullest.
The car is accompanied by a Jaguar-Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, detailing its manufacturing details and equipment. It also comes with a thick dossier documenting the entire restoration process, with photos and invoices for all work performed. One of the finest Series I E-Type Jaguars available, it will be equally at home on show or on the road.
