Truly remarkable (and possibly unique) example having covered just 8,694 miles from new with a mere 4 owners - the last being John Coombs (famous Coombs-Jaguar Racing). First delivered to Jaguar USA New York (hence odometer in miles) and imported/registered in Europe in 1998 (documented). Sold to Coombs at Bonham''s Monaco Auction 2004. Brought to the UK in 2008 and registered FAV 258C. Just stripped to bare metal and expensively resprayed/rechromed. Freshly serviced with new MOT. Original trim with working Motorola radio, original spare wheel with Dunlop RS5 tyre, original tools and rolls. A true ''time-warp'' in absolutely exquisite condition with driveability to match. Sold with Jaguar Heritage Certification, Bonham''s Auction Catalogue etc. Unrepeatable!

Works hard-top (and soft top), new 72 spoke chrome wire wheels with Pirelli P400 tyres, luggage rack (not fitted).

A hugely original and really good Left Hand Drive Series 1 Roadster offered outstanding condition having covered less than 9,000 miles from new. The car was delivered new to the USA and has benefited from careful ownership in a benign climate and drives as you would expect from such a low mileage example. It has had paint to the bodywork in recent years and accordingly presents itself very well. Offered for sale with all EU Taxes paid and with UK Registration and MOT certificate.

For sale at Barbary Hill Iconic Cars near Lincoln. Seller's description below.
www.barbaryhill.com/cars/1964-4-2-lhd-roadster

Presented by Barbary Hill, we are fortunate enough to offer this unique find to the market on behalf of the current custodian. Covering just 11,000 miles from new, this spectacular car has a rich history, documented with the vehicle.

The car was manufactured on 14th December 1964 and was consigned to Mr Kenneth F Guggemos of Winsted, Minnesota, through Jaguar Cars New York, on 8th January 1965. Mr Guggemos was a lighting engineer who held numerous patents. Not long after taking ownership of the car, Mr Guggemos suffered a serious accident which left him unable to drive the car. Unable to part with his pride and joy, the car remained in a heated facility for many years.

The car returned to Europe in the early 1990's where it was acquired by a Dutch collector. He subsequently sold the vehicle to a Belgian collector in October 1998, who added the car to his private collection. The car remained in Belgium until it was assigned to Bonhams - along with the rest of the collection, to be sold at the Monaco auction in May 2005. The car was then subsequently purchased by John Coombs (famous Coombs Jaguar Racing), with the car only displaying 8,550 miles from new.

Sometime in 2008, the vehicle was purchased by Rod Leach (of AC Cobra fame) who brought the car back to the UK. Upon registering the car, the DVLA assigned the registration FAV258C. The MoT certificate displays the mileage at 8,679 miles. The car remained with him until May 2011, when it was acquired by a UK entrepreneur who kept the car in his private collection until December 2012. The current custodian took delivery with the car displaying only 8,900 miles at the time.

This exquisite example still retains many of its original features. The convertible roof displays obvious signs of repairs over the years, but retains a beautiful patina on the inside and unique features including the original 'Tilt seats before raising or lowering the top' label. The original interior supports the documented mileage, along with a unique 'aged' aroma. The car is also supplied with the factory toolkit and jack.
