Car advertised on Craigslist 12/21

Seller's description:
1965 Jaguar XKE Roadster - $79,500
Here's a true barn find 1965 Jaguar XKE Roadster. Been off the road for more than 30 years, discovered locally a few weeks ago in a Pasadena garage. This car was repainted years ago, and the interior was partially redone around that time both in original colors. It's all matching numbers except for the short block, the cylinder head and gearbox are correct. It's got all five original wheels and largely unmolested. We installed a new fuel pump and got it running off a gas can, it fired right off. These cars are bringing north of $225k restored, don't let this one get away. Clean title, ready to go.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
