This car has arrived at Fantasy Junction. A complete description has not yet been completed. 1964 Jaguar E-Type Roadster S/N 880632 Engine No. RA3929-9 Black / Black with Grey Piping Matching Numbers Body #: R7444 Holds a Heritage Certificate (Certificate #: 11922) Freshly Restored with: Tools / Jack / Spare/Rare Option Borrani Aluminum Wheels The Series One E-Type Jaguar stands alone in the hearts of many car enthusiasts. The sound of the 3.8 liter engine with its dual exhaust and triple SU carburetors are distinct. The smell of the leather, and tactile feel of the car on the road, accompanied by the four wheel disc brakes offer excellent stopping power to match the acceleration of the 265 horsepower engine. Representing a highly respected heritage, the E-Type was born from Jaguars’ lineage of Le Mans winning race cars such as the C-Type and D-Type. Jaguar created quite an impact in 1961 with the release of the E-Type. Combining posterity and function, this car blends on the road with modern cars nearly fifty years after it’s conception and is a must have for any car collection. This car specifically: Here is a rare opportunity to purchase a piece of automotive history. This example is a Series One 3.8 liter E-Type OTS (open two-seater), featuring the highest of standards. With photo documented and a recent restoration, this California car was completed by world renowned Jaguar specialist David Ferguson of Images in Campbell, California. During the restoration, there was great attention to detail regarding every aspect of this car. Several upgrades have been performed including the 5-speed transmission, electronic distributor, an aluminum radiator with multi-blade cooling fan, Wildwood brakes, and gear reduction starter. In addition, the drive train has been completely rebuilt. These upgrades provide modern function of this road going classic. Also featured are extremely rare period optional aluminum Borrani wire wheels with the proper knockoffs. This car is triple black with black interior and grey piping accents. All of the original hardware was properly plated. New wiring, triple plated chrome, powder coated suspension, and brass lined brake cylinders complete the nut and bolt restoration. The car was bead blasted and completely disassembled, including the bonnet to access all areas for refinishing. With a highly detailed undercarriage, engine compartment, and boot, and no undercoat, this car would have to be taken apart to appreciate all the full effort … the best of the best!! More to come…...

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
