Sellers description:
Jaguar 1969 XKE Roadster, SN 1R10912, Body 4R5312, Engine 7R7940-9, Gear Box KE9201.This car was partially disassembled and has been sitting for some time. Car appears to have been Warwick Gray with Red Leather interior. The engine and transmission were removed and the engine disassembled and it has been sitting since then.
The engine was disassembled and some parts are missing. The crank, rods, pistons, starter, water pump are missing. I have the transmission, block, head, oil pan, intake manifold, carbs, exhaust manifolds, air inlet filter and inlet system, alternator, radiator. I have a good crank, and a nice set Venola pistons, and rodsfrom another 4.2 Jag engine. I also have TWO spare cylinder heads, complete with valves and cams. One is very nice condition having recently been rebuilt. An almost new Mallory distributor for a Jaguar is included.
The car also comes with front and rear bumpers, seat belts, head lights, drive shaft, jack, spare wheel, and lock for spare, and the complete convertible top assembly.
Rust, yes it has rust: in the bonnet in the mounting area, and bottom of nose. Both doors, both floor boards, both rockers, battery box. Trunk and rear of tub are very solid other than rust around left rear trailing arm mount. Front frame rails appear to be very solid.
What I know is missing: crank shaft, rods, pistons, windshield, shifter, front turn signals, rear tail lights, starter, water pump, and distributer. I do have a nice Mallory distributer for a XKE that will come with the car.
Although the car has rust, I believe that it is certainly worth a restoration. I was going to make it into a race car replica, and have a nice driving car, not a show queen, but I just don't have the time.
