We are delighted to offer this fully restored 2+2 coupe variety of the legendary E-type Jaguar.

Manufactured on the 24th March 1966 and delivered new to Mr. Bruce Philipson of Maryland USA in Primrose yellow and LHD. Re-imported from the USA in 1990 before being fully restored by Lanes Jaguar specialist in 2011. During this extensive restoration, the vehicle was stripped to a bare shell, rebuilt and finished in highly desirable opalescent silver grey and trimmed in contrasting ox blood leather hide. The engine, gearbox, rear axle/diff, and suspension were completely rebuilt. Improvements to the specification on the vehicle during the restoration include; Bell stainless steel exhaust system and manifold, uprated adjustable Gaz shock absorbers, 4 pot Coopercrafts brake callipers, 123 electronic ignition system, poly-bushed suspension, steering and subframe mounts. All bright work was re- chromed or replaced, rear lap belts fitted, stove enameled wire wheels and a complete and new wiring harness installed.

After 6 years completion, the car has covered a mere 7000 miles and remains mechanically sound with a recent full service. Its history file is compiled of service invoices, restoration breakdown and build sheet, photographic restoration file, Heritage Certificate, past import papers, old registration documents, warranty documents, MOT certificates and recent service history.

Available for any inspection, this car is in excellent order throughout and is a joy to drive.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
