Ebay item 8/22/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1974-XKE-e-type-V12-roadster-BRG-only-19-6 ...
Current bid $6,766 reserve not met, 8 bids, 6 days left in auction. 19k miles.
Sellers description:
A nice and very low miles 1974 Jaguar series 3 V12 roadster in the great color combination of British Racing Green with black interior. It comes with chrome wire wheels, power steering, automatic transmission, air conditioner and a black canvas soft top.
This is a very high serial number car, making it one of the last Jaguar XKE built. It has a built date of June 1974. I purchased this car from a collector in South Carolina that owned it for 18 years. He kept the car in his temperature controlled collection and started it on a regular basis but hardly put any mileage in those years. Car looks, runs and drives very good.
Body: The body is straight and rust free. The original floors are in very good condition as is the trunk floor. This car was originally primrose yellow, the color change was very thorough as the door jambs, under the hood, trunk and the engine frames have been painted BRG. The previous owner did not paint the car therefore we know the paint is at least 18 years old. Paint looks very good, it is smooth and with an deep gloss. There are a few minor paint chips and a couple of small rust bubbles on the bottom of the driver's door, but nothing that needs immediate attention nor detracts from the car's good looks. Tires have plenty of thread, wire wheels are nice and tight.
Interior: The leather interior is original and in very good condition, especially for its age. The soft top is in very good condition and was upgraded to canvas (originally they were vinyl to cut cost), it fits very well. All gauges are original and in working order, including the clock, The radio is the original. Dash top is in good condition without cracks.
Engine and mechanicals: Very good oil pressure and no smoke and no oil leaks The automatic gearbox shifts very good. New front brake rotors and water pump were just installed. The AC is connected but does not blow cold (probably low on freon). The tires should be balanced as there is some vibration at about 60 MPH. Brakes, power steering, and electrical system are working properly.
Others: Included is the owners manual, jack in the bag, knock off hammer and knock off tool.
Jaguar e-type V12 roadsters are great touring cars and have one of the best lines of any car ever produced. This particular Jaguar is ideal for the person not looking for a trailer queen, but something very nice to drive on a sunny day. The low miles and attractive color combination should also make it a good investment.
