Sellers description:
This 1974 Jaguar EType Roadster has been restored to an excellent driver level car over the last few years and has just been recently completed.....The car has been gone over completely mechanically....even though the car has only 55,000 miles on it the engine has been completly rebuilt...as part of the mechanical restoration the car had a new clutch...water pump..fuel pump..hose kit...rad recore....gas tank recore..etc......the work to the engine included a rebore and new pistons and piston liners...I have all the reciepts for the work done to the car....also the work was performed by a local shop specialising in Jaguar....The car is now without a mechanical issue...All the electric work fine....directionals..lights...horn ..radio etc....I had and an electric antenna installed for practical purposes..
The body of the car has had a very nice repaint in the past year..There was no rust on the car and the floors and sils were in perfect origional condition..same for the boot/trunk floor.....It shows really well even though I incurred a few small scrathces while putting the chrome back on the car...The panel fit is very nice and the car has never been involved in any kind of accident...The chrome is in very nice origional condition..there is no scratches or pitting...The car has had a complete master interior kit installed ...supplied by SNG Barrett ...it is beautiful....
carpets..seats and doorpanels are all as new........the car has also had a new canvas top and tonneau cover installed....it is also in perfect condition.. The car has the most desirable 4 speed gearbox with air conditioning..The air will probably need to be charged....It is an excellent driving example ..I would have no hesitation in taking the car on a long trip.....I have the origional Bill of Sale for the car in 1974...I understand that the car has had just 2 owners before me...The car also comes with the original Jack and Operating and Service Handbook....

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
