www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-E-type-Original-California-car-/122029468627
Car has a buy it now price of $32,000 for 6 days. Seller faunlimited1, 69k miles.

Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar XKE v12
Numbers matching
Very solid honest car

1972 XKE, original California Car, owned by a Pilot, his parking pass for the airlines is still on the rear bumper.

69k orignal miles, I believe the paint is also original, in good shape, but has flaws.

In my opinion there are many characteristics that prove to me that this is a very original and un touched Jaguar.

Runs well, shifts well

the doors close well, and there have never been any accidents. the interior is in good original condition

I Have the original jack and thor hammer.

The underside is rock solid.

Imported into the United Kingdom from the United States and offered for sale by Toby Smith Cars of Brackley in Spring 2017. Listed on eBayUK, seller's description below. The URL is
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-E-Type-1973-2-2-v12-AUTO-series-3-/201878289117

Jaguar E Type Series 3 5.3 litres, Auto, Power Steering, Air Con, 69k miles. Fantastic rust free import from Texas with genuine low mileage and running and driving exactly how it should. The engine runs smoothly and quietly with no untoward noises or rattles. It maintains good oil pressure when hot. Fluids are correct and there are no signs of any leaks, oil or water. Mechanically it is driving just as it should, with plenty of power and stopping sharply, with no knocks or rattles from the running gear. The steering is accurate with no signs of wear.

The paintwork looks to be original, so there are a few small marks and the rear wheel arches show some minor surface rust, but overall it looks very smart with a nice glossy finish and nothing needing to be done immediately. It would be sensible to waxoil the entire car to save it from the UK weather, since it has spent its life in a rain free US state. The floors are completely free from rot, and there is no evidence of any welding at all, the same with the boot and bonnet. The bonnet is excellent, totally rust free, with the original paint on the inner arches - the pictures show it all. It is rare for the bonnet hinge area to still be in the factory paint, with no surface rust or covered in under seal.

The interior is superb, original and free from rips and tears. It could do with some conditioning, but looking at it now, it has been looked after and I would suspect stored indoors as the hide has not faded too much like they so often do when sourced from Texas. That said, with regular feeding, it will improve considerably. So overall, a fantastic car to jump in and use immediately as it is, or as a light or complete restoration. The car will come with a fresh MoT and all the customs duties have been paid, leaving the car ready to register with the V5 being in the buyer's name with no previous owners. This is one of the best, I have priced it fairly, we don't like stock hanging around!

Car to be at auction 10/17
www.barons-auctions.com/auction_details.php

Auction description:
1972 Jaguar E-Type Series 3
Lot 131
First Registered: 1972
Registration No: JKH 388L
Mileometer: 70,172
Chassis No: J72UC1573286BW
MOT: July 2018
Colour: White

This car was imported to the UK from the USA in September 2016, and the present owner registered in his own name in July 2017. Unfortunately no previous history came with the car but the car seems to be in reasonable condition for its age and seems to run well. It is the ideal vehicle to use now and to improve on over the years or to use as a good base for a full restoration.

Guide Price: £30,000 to £36,000

The Heritage certificate confirms that it was built for the American market and dispatched to the original distributor in New York on the 15th June 1972. We have been advised that the last US owner had retained the car from 2005. Described by the vendor as retaining it's original panels, floors and arches with factory spot welds in place, original radio, interior chrome wire wheels, working air‑conditioning and tool‑kit. Comes complete with a file of invoices, photos, owner's manuals, copy US title document, wallet and spare keys. Further details to follow on car's arrival.

Lot 217 at Historics Auction sale of Classic and Sports Cars at Brooklands Motor Racing Circuit near Weybridge on 27 November 2021. Sold for £32,000. Catalogue description below.

www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2021-11-27/cars/ref-110-1972-jaguar-e-type-s ...

Built on 27 April 1972 and shipped to British Leyland New York, this left hand drive V12 E Type was returned to the UK in 2017. A matching numbers example in its original colours of Old English White with a Cinnamon leather interior, it is also fitted with air conditioning. Now UK registered, the car has just had two UK owners and has been well maintained including new brakes calipers in 2019 and a stainless steel exhaust and new GAZ shock absorbers in 2020, with about £8000 of expenditure on file.

Mechanically the car starts and runs as it should, the automatic gearbox works well and has had a recent oil change. This is a largely original and unrestored car and it presents well although the paintwork is showing some minor signs of age. This is a well presented, useable example showing a modest 71,883 miles on the odometer. It is offered witha sizeable history file including the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate and the UK V5 registration document.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
