1964 Jaguar XKE E-Type FHC
Fully Restored, Numbers Matching, Heritage Certified
Here's a rare opportunity to own a beautiful investment grade 1964 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Coupe at well below its current book value. Meticulously restored by British car experts Healey Lane around 2012 with just a few thousand miles since. This is a wonderful E-Type FHC in its purest and most desirable Series. Offered with the Heritage Trust Certificate verifying that it is numbers matching and now regretfully selling due to health issues.
Handsomely finished in its factory correct Cream White with a beautifully contrasting red leather interior and matching English wool carpeting. This Series I E-Type Fixed Head Coupe from 1964 benefits from a stunning restoration by renowned British restoration experts Tom and Randee Rocke of California's Healey Lane. Its finished in two-stage DuPont Chroma base with two separate paint applications with excellent depth and luster. This extensive restoration included a complete rebuild of the matching number XK engine and four-speed gearbox to factory-original specifications. The floor pans are not reproductions like many E-Types now have. These are the original floor pans and pictures of the restoration show no evidence of rust, as many of these cars were susceptible to. In addition, this E-Type features an impressive list of all-new components and parts. Among the new items are the fuel lines and fuel tank, front and rear springs, front suspension, brakes, brake lines and cables as well as cloth wiring harness and electrical components; Roadspeed tires, exhaust system, new door mechanisms and handles. The dash was refitted with rebuilt original gauges, new steering wheel, new windshield along with new door glass and rubber seals. This E-Type will easily rate a very strong #2 car, and with minimal additonal work it could be at #1 concours standards. Hagerty.com currently list the #2 book value at $162k and the #1 book value at $226k. At the very least, this is a true investment car that continues to rapidly increase in value every year. Likely the nicest 64 E-Type Coupe you'll find anywhere.
This is a stunning example of an investment-grade icon that's rapid increasing in value as is verified by the latest book values with Hagerty.com. Pictures during the restoration are available upon request.
