Ebay item 4/25/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid 41,812 reserve not met, 21 bids, 5 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1964 e-type 3.8L roadster, restored, matching numbers. INVESTMENT GRADE

We are offering a Series One Jag 1964 etype roadster. These are the most popular of the etypes as they represent the unmolested true sportscar. The very elegant Cotswold Blue and Black leather interior are a perfect combination for this classic sports Jag.

This all correct etype roadster has received a total restoration. She was restored by a JCNA judge as his personal etype with emphasis on originality!

The engine is very strong and fast, registering 170 on each cylinder. Engine has received a rebuild when car was restored.

The interior is like new and all correct as in 1964! Everything works including the clock that has recently been upgraded and calibrated by www.jaguarclock.com so that it will be keeping accurate time for years to come. Very valuable and original Jaguar AM radio. Beautiful leather seats. All gauges work and are accurate!

All five tires and wire wheels received the attention of www.hendrixwirewheel.com in Greensboro, N.C. Allen Hendrix installed correct size tubes, shaved each tire to be perfectly round, computer balanced each wheel, and adjusted each individual spoke on the wire wheels. The 5 Tires are Dunlop SP Sport radial and are like new! The 5 wirewheels are chrome Dayton 72 spoke. She is truly like riding on a cloud!

THE CAR HAS a very solid body with no rust! All of this has been taken care of by a professional restorer. The restorer chose to use very little filler in final finish on body before painting.See picture. She could use a finishing painting, smoothing out all body waves. Several paint and body professionals have told me that this car will not need a bare metal, since so little filler was used, the prep and paint could be done on this layer, saving money. This approximate $5000 finishing paint would send the value upwards to $90,000+.(cpi black book, march-april 2006, excellent condition).

An original Jaguar etype tool kit comes with the car.

We just finished a thorough and proper “sorting” that included a new $250 vintage “Lucas logo” like original maintenance free modern battery from Antique Car Battery , new breaklight switch, new cooling fan relay switch, and professional carb tuning.

BOTTOMLINE:
This is an upperlevel driver that can easily and economically be taken to the next level of “SHOWCAR”. The car was restored with originality as the goal. Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms ALL NUMBERS MATCH! She has been properly sorted and ready for RELIABLE TRAVEL and/or SHOW!
