This Jaguar E-Type was produced in October 1964, and it is in splendid mechanical and cosmetic condition following a recent, thorough refreshing, on top of a ground-up restoration that was completed about 15 years ago. It recently received a repaint in its original exterior color of black, which looks brilliant when combined with its red leather interior, which was a color that was also original to the car. Many mechanical components were replaced to ensure that this E-Type runs as it should, including a new fuel pump, exhaust manifolds, new hoses, and a stainless steel exhaust. However, all components installed are mechanically correct for this year and model of E-Type, down to the factory Cheney hose clamps. Additionally, the vinyl convertible top was replaced with a more durable canvas Stayfast top, and many small interior trim pieces that were showing signs of age were replaced to ensure that nothing was overlooked in the car's most recent refreshing.

Vintage & Prestige Fine Motor Cars are proud to offer this fantastic 1964 E-Type 3.8 Litre OTS LHD for sale. With an extensive restoration completed around 18 years ago. This is a rare opportunity to obtain such an example.

This E-Type 3.8 Litre OTS Left Hand Drive was delivered new to New York in March 1964, via Jaguar's official dealer for the region, to a certain P. A. Scardino, with an Opalescent Silver Grey exterior and black interior. This E-Type 3.8 Litre OTS LHD remained in the USA until 2014 when it made its way to Belgium, from where it comes to us today. This is a very late production 3.8 Litre E-Type with correct 4.2 Litre interior features, like the centre armrest and new vinyl console coverings not seen in earlier 3.8s.

During the E-Type's aforementioned extensive restoration, the car was repainted in a sleek shade of black, which, when paired with the re-trimmed red leather interior, gives this E-Type 3.8 Litre OTS LHD a particularly Hollywood-esque appearance. Also fitted during the restoration were a new fuel pump, exhaust manifolds, hoses, and a stainless steel exhaust, all of which are mechanically correct for this year and model of E-Type 3.8 Litre OTS.

The vinyl convertible top was replaced with a more durable canvas Stayfast top, and ageing interior trim pieces were all replaced to give the car an as-new presentation. Also accompanying the E-Type 3.8 Litre Left Hand Drive OTS is a plethora of invoices dated 2015 from OLDTIMER VETERANEN SHOP GmbH in Idstein for various small replacement parts.

This E-Type 3.8 Litre OTS LHD is in remarkable condition and drives beautifully, with a smooth ride and slick gearbox. This E-Type needs to be seen in person to be appreciated fully. The car is currently undergoing UK registration. A Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trade Certificate accompanies the history file.
