Current bid $9,999 reserve not met, 1 bid, 6 days left in auction. Current location Dallas, Texas.

Sellers description:
This 1964 Jaguar XK-E Roadster is in excellent condition and has only 3,315 miles since restoration. Second owner since restoration. Has been driven sparingly and maintained regularly. According to the appraisal, "this is a beautiful example of a frame up restoration 1964 Jaguar XK-E Roadster." (appraised August '01/ Stated Market Value $60,000.00) This vehicle has been in several JCNA's Official Concours d'Elegance Judging events (Cumulative score: 99.78. This car is a blast to drive, with plenty of power! It also won 1st Place in a show comp. for "Best Exhaust System." The winning bidder will receive 1 Master Key, all service records, Photos, Tool Kit w/Copper Hammer, Original appraisal, Show Entries/Results, Car Cover, Jack kit w/cover, Jaguar Floor Mats (Navy), and bonnett for Canvas Conv. Top. The vehicle has two small flaws. 1) The bonnett is missing one rivet on the driver side (easily replaceable)and 2) Small chips in chrome (left/rear bumper. The washer fluid reservoir is kept empty on purpose, i.e. there are no cracks or leaks in glass. The vehicle may have a few more miles on it upon final delivery (no more than 50 if sold in a timely manner) to new owner, as it is driven a couple of miles every week to keep battery up and fluids moving properly.

Something looks strange with this car - mainly the tyres and wheels etc..... not 100%

I think the owner has put a 60-series tire on the original wheels, which to your eye and mine probably looks odd. I like my vintage cars with tall skinny tires, but that's a personal preference.

Presented in its original color scheme of Silver Blue over Dark Blue hides, this is a fine example of an early XKE with matching numbers and offered from long term ownership.

Originally, the car was built at the Coventry works on November 5th, 1963 and dispatched for the USA nine days later. Arriving on these shores, it was delivered new through Jaguar Cars of New York to its first owner, Mr. Steven Heltzer of Lawrence, New York, in the Long Beach area of Long Island. Its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate confirms all of these details and denotes that a matched dark blue interior and blue top completed its first guise.

We understand that the car has remained in the US all of its life, with over two decades spent with an owner in Texas. In the late 1990s the car received a complete restoration by the owner of an acknowledged expert restorer of British cars, Harry Warren, appropriately of Buckingham Palace in Dallas, Texas. On its completion, the car would reward the then owner with a handful of Jaguar Club North America awards including 1st in Class 16 and People's Choice, and was judged to 99.96 points. Shortly after this the car passed into its present hands.

As offered today, this XKE has seen limited use in recent times but remains in very clean order throughout. An early, 3.8-liter, covered headlight Roadster with the desired early dash layout, presented in its original and attractive colors, this car offers a great way to experience the E-Type legend.
