Imported into the United Kingdom from the United States in 2014. Listed on EbayUK, winning bid was £60,400. Seller's description below. The URL is

I have for sale my 1962 E Type 3.8 roadster for full restoration. I imported this car from the US in 2014 ready for me to start restoring when I retired but unfortunately circumstances have changed and I can no longer do the work needed so I have bought myself another E Type that is MOT'd and on the road meaning this one has to go.
It is an early car with the desirable aluminium dash and bucket seats and has the covered lights and smaller back lights, it is arguably the best looking of all E Types. Matching numbers, engine block, head, body and chassis. I haven't been able to check but I assume the gearbox also matches.
As you can see from the pictures the paint is falling off the car but it does look straight, it is almost complete, the only thing I know is missing are the boot badges, the small chrome grill is on the top of the bonnet and a door handle and window winder. I think these probably went missing at the docks as souvenirs and as usual the radio console is missing.
I think it was restored in the 1980's and is solid but to make it look correct it will need floors and sills etc... which is why I am selling on the basis of needing a full restoration. The car starts and runs and drives in and out of my garage but the engine will need attention.
The front brakes do work, they have a new master brake cylinder but the back ones are unconnected. There are a couple of extra holes in the aluminium dash but I will include another original aluminium panel to replace it. I have the heritage certificate from Jaguar and the car was originally cream with a black interior.
I also have a letter to confirm that all the necessary import taxes have been paid. A great chance to buy an aluminium dash 3.8 especially now as these are getting more expensive to import from the US due to the strength of the dollar against the pound.
