Ebay item 9/18/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1964-Jaguar-E-Type-/202058119992
Current bid $35,000.00
Reserve not met 1 bid 6 days left in auction, seller boutoys, 68k miles.

Sellers description:
This offer is for a basket case Series 1 E type roadster I've owned for almost thirty years. failing health brings it to market. It arrived as a driving car and currently lives at my shop Superior Metal Craft in Sacto.
I rebuilt the lower tub with new Martin Robey floors longitudinals etc. Zero rust, very solid and proper. Re-skinned and carefully fitted doors. rear lid fitted. Restored engine cradle and all fresh suspension items up front. Car has late 4.2 all syncro box, and was a strong running 3.8 car upon arrival. I anticipated finishing this car in black, and prepped the body accordingly, all panels are carefully fitted and surfaces straight. Yes the car was originally red. I'm OK with red on Italian cars....Many boxes, a room full. I also planned to NOT use the rough bonnet, A Robey bonnet was planned, to do the car justice but I failed to obtain this. The bonnet trim items are all present and in good original condition, as are all trim items etc. but the bonnet metalwork has been brutalized beyond quality repair. It's laying behind my shop. Bill of sale. The body and engine are matching.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
