Built August 27, 1962, 877993 was dispatched on the 14th of October, selling new to Dr. R. O. Hummer, as verified by the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, wearing Black paint over Maroon hides and Black top. Equipment includes optional hardtop, manual transmission, classic spear seats, aluminum console, toggle switches, Blaupunkt Radio with winged bezel, chrome wire wheels and the closed headlights most indicative of early XKEs.

This particular Roadster came to us from California ownership near the Nevada border, where it was retained in long term ownership. It has recently received a new interior and a thorough mechanical tune-up to ensure it longevity as a celebrated driver. Work included cleaning the carburetors, flushing and changing fluids and installing a new battery. Additionally factory correct maroon leather and vinyl upholstery in the cabin were installed, along with a new soft top, grey wool hardtop headliner, new plexi window and rubbers for the hardtop, as well as new period Coker redline tires. Its brightwork and paint have aged and show flaws, but remain ideally suited for what these lean sports cars are meant for, driving!

Wearing a rare an desirable color combination just as it left the factory; the car displays an honest chassis and strong numbers-matching mechanicals.
