Sold by Classic Motor Cars of Bridgnorth in October 2020. Seller's description below.
www.classic-motor-cars.co.uk/classic-cars-for-sale/1962-series-1-38-e-type-roads ...

Offered for sale is this flawless Series 1 3.8 E Type Roadster. Finished in Opalescent Silver Blue matched to the customer's preference for a French Blue interior. This is a car which CMC is very familiar with. First registered in 1962 with just 2 previous owners from new, XAN is a car in impeccable condition which we believe is second to none. Having had a full nut and bolt restoration, it was then subject to a further £70,000 of improvements here at Classic Motor Cars.

Boasting concours condition, this is a very original car, with all matching numbers and a detailed photographic record of its restoration. A fantastic opportunity to acquire a beautifully restored Series 1 3.8 E Type Roadster with superb history which will be eligible for some of the best historic concours and rallies on offer.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
