Sellers description:
JAGUAR E TYPE ROADSTER
Chassis number 850069
£35000
JAGUAR E TYPE 3.8 OTS RHD 1961
A Series 1 3.8 flat floor open bonnet lock roadster - the 69th RHD car built. Rarely does an opportunity occur to purchase one of these very early “pre production” E Types. The car runs and drives reasonably well but would benefit from full restoration. These very early cars are now much sought after - and very valuable if correctly presented. There cant be many unrestored examples remaining. Jaguar Cars generally supplied the first E Types to racing drivers, well known personalities and to dealers as demonstrators. We are researching the original owner and registration number of this example. The car left the factory in opalescent silver blue paintwork with dark blue interior - the most desirable of all colours and the original colour can still be seen on the body and chassis members. These cars are rarely available and this represents an opportunity for the serious Jaguar collector. £35000 It can be viewed by appointment in North Cornwall
