Vehicle Description: This is an excellent example of a unrestored all original 1972 Jaguar XKE 2+2 with 28,761 original miles. The V-12 engine, auto trans, air cond, and wire wheels make this a very desirable automobile. The interior is mint condition and looks and smells like new. The spare tire, jack, and tool kit have never been used. The body and frame are solid and rust free. This has been stored in a climate controlled enviorment for the last 12yrs. All the fluids have been changed as a complete tune up has been done on the V12 engine. The car drives and runs as it did in 1972 when new. The paint is original but has been faded by sunlight and has been polished to restore its original luster.

Sellers description:
hi everyone, if you check my feedback, you will see i am way too deeply into jags. i found this xke after years of looking for a excellent condition older e type, as i had a 69 2+2 when i was 18 yrs old.. this is a 2 owner car. i was told that the orig. owner drove it for about 3 years, then had health problems, so it was stored til he passed away. the guy i bought it from bought it got it with 25000 miles on it, registered and drove it for a year or so as he worked on his other jag, a car he had since he was 17 yrs old. he needed $ to complete his car, so he sold this one to me. i saw his restoration car when i bought this one from him

picture going back in time, to a time when you could purchase a 10 yr old jag. this is whats for sale here, only its 32 yrs later. ok, enough b.s.iting, here are the facts.

to the best of my knowledge, this car has only 28k miles on it, could not find anything to show me otherwise before i bought it. was registered, running, and driving when i bought it, in n.y. state. i have stored it in my garage since then.

interior: very good to excellent original condition, normal wear on leather seats, passenger show almost no wear, rear seats like new.

engine: runs and drives, could use carb refreshing, as she is a little sluggish under acceleration, after sitting in my garage for a few years, battery has to be charged. i saw no smoke from the engine, and oil pressure was hi on the guage when i drove it.

body: basically rust free, surface rust only on sills, solid floors and trunk, some minor dings on sides as you would get in a parking lot, slight ripples/waves on bonnet drivers left side, down low behind front tire, bonnet closes normally.

i felt, when i bought it, that this was a rare find. the car is not free, but it is fairly priced. you are welcome to come and look at it, but if you want to drive it, let me know, as the battery needs charging, and as i had it out only 3 times, am still learning how to start it.

clear title, excelent condition, a rare opportunity to have a running, driving xke that you can restore as you go

First delivered to New York it had previous owners in Illinois, New York State and Connecticut before being imported into Switzerland from the United States in 2014. For sale at Emil Frey Classic Cars at Safenwil it is described as an extremely original V12 coupe; the original paint has a nice patina and the most original interior is in excellent condition. The car has been looked after with much care and attention and has led a sheltered life. It has recently received a thorough and comprehensive service. 74,000 Swiss Francs.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
